Terms of Use

ODYSSEY is a public-beta decision-support service for travel, mobility, stays, and timing. A plan or outbound link is not a confirmed booking, transport contract, admission ticket, or guarantee of safety.

Service and eligibility

These terms govern ODYSSEY, operated by Afar Inc. The beta is intended for users aged 18 and over. Contact: kwonjihun@afarlab.com.

Planning information

ODYSSEY uses user inputs and third-party data to suggest routes, visit order, dwell times, stay candidates, and revised plans. Results may include estimates or fallback calculations. Before travel or payment, verify price, inventory, schedules, operating hours, entry, visa, accessibility, safety, cancellation, and refund conditions with the relevant official provider. Follow public-authority and on-site instructions in emergencies.

External accommodation searches

The public beta offers general search entry points to several external accommodation services. Any search, booking, payment, cancellation, or refund contract is between you and the external service. Afar Inc. is not the seller or accommodation provider for that transaction, and the external service's terms and privacy policy apply. The current entry points contain no affiliate identifier. If an approved affiliate relationship is added later, any possible commission will be labelled in the interface.

The option to open a daily route in an external map is a convenience feature that transfers the calculated sequence to a third-party map service. The external service's route, timing, access conditions, and guidance may differ from ODYSSEY's calculation and should be checked again before departure.

User content and optional AI editing

You must have the right to use any place information, notes, or photos you submit and must not infringe another person's rights. Locally stored browser content remains under your control. If you invoke optional AI editing, submitted text and the selected record’s place, date and time may be sent to the AI provider; you remain responsible for reviewing the result.

Acceptable use, availability, and rights

Do not overload the service, bypass access controls, extract or misuse secrets or vulnerabilities, interfere with others, submit unlawful or infringing content, or misrepresent an estimate as official information. ODYSSEY software, branding, interfaces, and original materials belong to Afar Inc. or their lawful owners. The beta may change or be interrupted for maintenance, security, provider failure, or other necessary reasons.

Liability, privacy, and law

We aim to provide useful, feasible information but do not warrant real-time traffic, weather, price, inventory, opening hours, or a third party's performance. Liability is limited only to the extent permitted by applicable law and is not limited where mandatory law prohibits limitation. Privacy and optional analytics are governed by the Privacy Policy and Cookies and Analytics Notice. Korean law governs these terms, without displacing mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence; jurisdiction follows applicable procedural and mandatory law.
